Brunchin’ Through the Queen City- Our Feature in Travel Host Magazine!

This feature of the week is very special to us, as it our first article publication in the Cincinnati premier issue for Travel Host Magazine! WOOP! We have copied and pasted the full article below. As some of you may know, the New York Times rated Cincinnati number 8 on the list of top places to visit in 2018. Naturally, this will bring an increase in traffic to the food scene which is where the Pursuit of Delights makes their biggest contribution. As food and travel bloggers, we went on a pursuit through Cincinnati to find the best brunch locations throughout the Queen City and surrounding areas for Cincinnatians and fellow travelers. Now we present our top brunch spots that warm our hearts and fill our bellies (in no particular order).

1. Coppin’s – Covington, KY

Atmosphere: Beautiful, Classy and Quaint; located inside of Hotel Covington. The open concept and lighting throughout gives you the feel of sitting outside on a closed-in patio on a beautiful, summer night.

Delight of Choice: French Toast. It’s deep fried while keeping a soft center. Amazing! They do an excellent job of balancing sweet and savory with this dish. And hey, you’re still getting your serving of fruit. ;) If you are feeling really hungry, add a side of scrambled eggs.

2.Cozy’s Café & Pub- West Chester, OH

Atmosphere: Well of course, it’s cozy! If you are lucky enough to go on a nice summer day, sit outside and enjoy the patio. It is family friendly with lots of space to roam through the grass and play their games set up.
Delight of Choice: Biscuits and Goetta Gravy- The buttermilk biscuits are homemade and smothered with a delicious, slightly cheesy gravy. The eggs are cooked to your liking, although they encourage a bit of yolk to add additional flavor. Don’t forget to stop at the build your own Bloody Mary bar!

3.Nada – Downtown Cincinnati, OH

Atmosphere: This Mexican restaurant is hip, loud, and full of fun! The colors and vibe make you feel so alive while enjoying a good meal.
Delight of Choice: While we love the french toast, our delight of choice is the Crab Eggs Benedicto. This spicy dish is made for the bold who want something different and full of flavor.

4.Northstar- West Chester, OH

Atmosphere: Very earthy with an extremely friendly vibe! The inside feels very natural and fresh. If you are looking for clean eating this is the place for you. They also have vegan and vegetarian options.
Delight of Choice: This restaurant has so many great options, so it’s hard to pick just one. One of the many great options is their Fish Sandwich. The aioli adds a nice touch and it is finished with a big buttery bun. For the vegetarian community, the Northstar Black Bean Burger is awesome and seasoned perfectly! On your way out, grab a Ham & Cheese scone or a Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie for later.

5.Otto’s- Covington, KY

Atmosphere: Small, cozy, and colorful. This location is small but spacious with funky colored chairs at every table. This restaurant’s character is built from its old charm. Most of all the colorful chairs at every table are fun and vibrant.
Delight of Choice: You cannot go wrong with their Lemon Buttermilk Pancakes. They are topped with mixed berry compote, blueberries and whipped cream. If you aren’t a pancake fan, these will definitely make you have respect for them. For a unique twist on Biscuits & Gravy, try their version with chicken sausage gravy.

Brunch Hours: Sat & Sun 10a-2p

6.Taste of Belgium– Cincinnati, OH (Various locations)

Atmosphere: Hipster, yet homey with a fun bar at all locations.

Delight of Choice: Their most popular item is the chicken and waffles, which is delicious! But a fun spin on this is the Brunch Burger served on the same famous waffle. Pouring the Ohio maple syrup on top of a burger may scare you, but you must try it!

Brunch Hours: Sun 11a-230p

7.Wild Eggs- Downtown Cincinnati & Oakley, OH

Atmosphere: Relaxed and welcoming. This location gives an old-school classic diner feel.

Delight of Choice: Who doesn’t like Mr. Potato Head? The Mr. Potato Head Casserole is a good go-to if you want a little bit of everything. With all of its toppings, toppings, it’s definitely a breakfast kitchen sink. Try it and don’t eat his nose too fast.
