Piada Taste Tour in Cincinnati!

If you haven’t heard, on October 10th, Piada will be unveiling new menu items consisting of healthy alternatives, savory meats, and seasonal vegetables. EXCITING!!! As a huge lover of all things Piada, it was a great pleasure to attend their Taste Tour in Cincinnati! Read on to see what the event consisted of and what the new items will be…..

The Venue: The Cincinnati tour was held at the beautiful Mockbee, which is an underground tunnel used for events of all sorts, featuring local art as well. It was a great location for this perfectly quaint gathering. From the moment us foodies and photographers arrived, we were greeted with a great deal of hospitality and provided additional details from Piada chefs and the event planners on the deliciousness to come.

The Food: We were given the opportunity to indulge in an unlimited amount of the following new options:

  • Harvest Grain– Farro, spiced pecans, dried cranberries, feta, sweet potatoes, fennel, basil, topped with red wine dressing
  • Mediterranean Power Bowl– Broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, glazed chickpeas, and pickled onions on a bed of red quinoa with a harissa & greek yogurt drizzle
  • The Porchetta Sandwich– Slow roasted pork loin seasoned with rescan spices- porcini, rosemary, garlic and pepper- layered on a rustic italian roll with basil aioli, pickled onions, and fennel
  • Blood Orange Pomegranate Tea– Freshly brewed sweet tea with natural blood orange and pomegranate flavor, balanced with a hint of basil

Talk about starting fall/winter off with a bang! The flavors in each dish were so well put together and presented beautifully. I absolutely love pork sandwiches, but the vegetarian dishes were so well seasoned that it made me not miss the meat. I would happily order all items in the future.

Dessert From Friendly Partners:  To end the night, we were served s’mores using freshly roasted marshmallows from Mmelo Boutique Confections on top of homemade graham crackers from Grateful Grahams. OMG! These were the softest s’mores I’d ever have. And check out all of the toppings that were available. This was truly heaven on a graham cracker!

From the pictures alone, you can see this event was super fun and eventful. I was left full of great food and ready to dine at Piada on the 10th to experience the options all over again! Hopefully I will see you all there!
