Tupelo Honey- Raleigh, NC location

I typically do not feature large chains, but as soon as I took a bite of Tupelo Honey’s deliciousness, I knew they were going to be an exception to the rule. If you live in one of the states where one is located, 1. I am officially jealous of you & 2. You are crazy if you have not dined in! Their restaurants focus on good ol’ Southern comfort food, some with a twist. No matter the location, their food is from local farms, preserving the integrity of the ingredients. My friend and I ordered the Fried Chicken and biscuits (with Goodnight Brothers country ham, milk gravy, basil) and the Southern Fried Chicken BLT with apple cider bacon, dijonnaise, lettuce and tomato (judge us not on both options being fried. We WERE in the south!) Both were savory, rich, and plentiful. I would order the exact same things if I went back, but the menu is filled with so many finger licking options- literally. Oh and did I mention each table comes with homemade, buttery, fluffy, delicious, warm BISCUITS with honey to drizzle on top? *sigh* TAKE. ME. BACK!
