“Cincinnati is the Queen City and every Queen needs a Crown!”

That’s the concept Hailey Nutter-Sitek, Anthony Sitek, and Mike Cassari (who make up the “Republic”) thought of when coming up with the name for their new downtown Cincinnati restaurant, Crown Republic, an American Gastropub located at the corner of Sycamore and 8th. (Side note: How genius and creative is that name?!). Now that Crown Republic had been opened for close to 2 months, Pursuit of Delights had the opportunity to sit down with the owners to discuss all things food and the history behind how the restaurant came about.

For many years, I’ve wanted to travel to Texas. I’d heard so much about the vibes… the scenery… the people… and most importantly…the food! A few weeks ago, I finally had the chance. My first time stepping foot in the southern state was in the beautiful DALLAS! What a great first Texas city to visit, right?! Although there was much to see, my goal was conquering the food scene. If you live in or have researched Dallas, you will see they are known for many types of food.

Experience the 2017 Cincinnati Food and Wine Classic

Surprisingly, I never attended the annual Cincinnati Food and Wine Classic, but have always heard great things about it. When promotions began for the 2017 edition, I absolutely knew I was going to make it. The event was 2 days of deliciousness. I attended all day Saturday, broken into day and night events.
