Salar – Dayton, Ohio

Talk about a unique experience! Get your taste buds ready because Salar offers heavily French, Peruvian, and Mediterranean influenced options that are packed full of flavor!! When the executive chef comes to the United States directly from Peru, you know you are in for an authentic treat! Upon entry, you will find two full bars (I recommend the Hummingbird!) two patios, a lounge, and a private dining room. Although they move quickly, I would suggest making a reservation, as this location is Green Certified and well known!

On to the food… It is not unusual for me to order different items at once to get a true feel for the vibe of the restaurant. On my visit, after much discussion with the waiter, I requested the following items-

• Avocado hummus plate
• Peruvian empanadas- Beef tenderloin and Peruvian spices wrapped in turnovers
• Beef tenderloin skewer- Beef tenderloin with bleu cheese sauce on top of saffron and parmesan risotto, sugar snap peas and carrots

These options were nothing short of amazingggg!!! I literally kept saying “WOW” over and over. I was there so long savoring every bite despite how full my belly was. It was too good to leave! So please…. just please…. GO!
