There’s no Debatin’… here’s our top eats in Dayton!

You know what I  love about smaller cities? They always seem to have so many hidden gems of great food in pockets across town. Dayton is the perfect example of this! For many years, I worked in a suburb of this area while living in Cincinnati, which allowed me to experience deliciousness in both cities. Dayton is known for many things, but who knew great food was up there on the list?! If you haven’t been or are unfamiliar with the area, no problem. Sit back and relax while I navigate you to my top 7 Dayton restaurants!

Unwind with Wine in Napa Valley

I have had the pleasure of visiting Napa Valley three times in my life (and many more to come) and can absolutely say it just keeps getting better! As wine gets better with time, Napa seems to also. This is the ultimate trip to explore different types of wine, build your palate, be in the midst of amazing scenery, and eat great food! As a food and travel blogger, that’s right up my alley! There are so many wineries that it can become overwhelming to decide which ones to go to. But, that’s what Pursuit of Delights is here for! Scroll on to see which wineries met my list of top, affordable places to visit (in no particular order).

Places To See In The DMV!

Are you looking for a quick weekend trip with a variety of great things to see, reasonable prices, and amazing history? Well, the DMV is perfect for you! I’ve always been a fan of the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area, but never spent a weekend exploring the top areas… until now! I was so impressed with how much we experienced in such a short amount of time that I felt it necessary to share it with you all! Although there is much more, here is a list of “Must See” places

Carmine’s – Times Square, NYC

You know how you feel when you go to Grandma’s house? She makes entirely too much food and requires you to “EAT UP!”, but you don’t mind because it’s all so delicious. Most of us know exactly what this scenario feels like. Now picture it in a restaurant. This is the exact experience you will have at Carmine’s of New York City. If you love Italian, love variety, and live for large portion sizes, they are the restaurant for you! In addition to the good food, the camaraderie is awesome! If you begin to sing or clap in celebration of something within your group, don’t be surprised if all of the tables around you join in. It is truly heartfelt and amazing. Now let’s dive in!

Pursuing Iceland

As many of you may have noticed from scrolling through social media, Iceland has become quite the tourist location for people of all ages. Part of this is due to the fairly new Icelandic WOW airlines expanding their territory across the U.S. and Europe. With their dramatically cheap prices, it has given tourists the ability to explore places they have never been, with Iceland being the hub.

Heading to Dallas? Three types of restaurants you must try!

For many years, I’ve wanted to travel to Texas. I’d heard so much about the vibes… the scenery… the people… and most importantly…the food! A few weeks ago, I finally had the chance. My first time stepping foot in the southern state was in the beautiful DALLAS! What a great first Texas city to visit, right?! Although there was much to see, my goal was conquering the food scene. If you live in or have researched Dallas, you will see they are known for many types of food.

So, what types would the Pursuit of Delights recommend? I’m glad you asked! ;)

Let’s get to it!

KWality Meals From a Self Taught Chef

Although I have a deep appreciation for chefs of all kinds, there is truly something special about those that are self taught. They share the same passion, but typically have to work even harder to receive the accolades deserving to them. When we created the “Feature of the Week” section, we knew quality based chefs & food related entrepreneurs would often be of focus, including those that are self taught.
