The Oregon Trail

I always advise friends and family to look into traveling to a location they would not immediately think of. Or, when the opportunity arises, take it seriously, for the experience will likely be greater than the hesitation. When a mini tour of Oregon came  up, I immediately said OF COURSE! I packed my bags without a huge agenda in mind and hopped on the plane. The full tour began and ended with Portland, containing Eugene, Salem, Lincoln City, Tillamook, Pacific City, and Multnomah in between.  Rather than residing in a hotel, we opted for the bed and breakfast route (This was my first time. I highly recommend Air Bed and Breakfast). Air BnB made the experience much more “homey” and comfortable. Over the course of 4 days, we ate great food (view my posts on The Country Cat-Portland, OR and Voodoo Doughnut- Eugene, OR location ), drove along the coast, and saw stunning views. The beaches truly pull you in with their beauty. I even saw each end of a rainbow- which seemed to follow us everywhere we went!

When you choose to go somewhere out of the norm, you have the ability to meet different people, eat different food, see different views and landscapes, and appreciate all of the differences we have on this earth. Step outside of the normal travel box and you’ll see the world in a whole new light!
